About Universal Multi State Credit Co-operative Society Ltd. The Universal Multi State Credit Co-Operative Society Limited(UMSCCSL or Society) is a Multi State Credit Co-operative Society, registered under Section 7 of Multi State Cooperative Societies Act, 2002 (39 of 2002) ,Ministry of Agriculture, Department of Agriculture & Cooperation, Govt. of India vide Registration Number of the Society is "MSCS/CR/745/2013".
The UMSCCSL abides by the Multi State Credit Co-operative Societies Act, 2002 and all broad outlines as under:
1. Engaged in the activities of raising and maintaining Recurring Deposits, Fixed Deposits and providing Loans under various schemes among its members but not amounting to Banking as defined in the terms of The Banking Regulation Act, 1949.
2. The primary objective is uplifting of the social and financial status of its members in rural semi the detailed in Clause-5 of the Buy-Laws of the Society Society is not a personal institution owned by any individual but is a fully democratic organization members of the Society in the Annual General Meeting and the Board of Directors take decisions unanimously with total transparency. Area of Operation: Present area of Operation of the Society shall be confined to the States of West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh only. We are expecting the extended area of operation in Rajasthan, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand and our application is pending before authority concern for approval. . In near future our dreams and plans are to operate our Society’s activities successfully throughout the Country. Since UMSCCSL is registered under Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Government of India, Books of Accounts of UMSCCSL are subject matter of Statutory Audit and Audited Accounts are submitted to the Central Govt. for review, annually.According are living in rural areas.
